Microsoft appoints Angela Kyerematen-Jimoh as Strategic Partner lead in Ghana

Microsoft has appointed Angela Kyerematen-Jimoh as its Strategic Partnership Lead for Africa at the new Africa Transformation Office (ATO) in Ghana.

Making the announcement on her Instagram account, Angela Kyerematen-Jimoh, said "her team will focus on strategic partnerships with governments, financial institutions, telecommunication operators, multinationals and international organisations across the African continent".

Taking up the position, the Ghanaian corporate expert and businesswoman expressed her confidence that the appointment will scale up growth and accelerate the Africa Transformation Office’s (ATO) mission on the continent.

"I'm certain this will be one of the biggest success stories for our continent. We are rolling up our sleeves and getting started!  Come with me on this super exciting journey," she added

Before her appointment, Angela was the first female and first African executive to lead IBM as the Director/General Manager in charge of North, East and West Africa. She advanced IBM’s hybrid cloud and AI momentum across 35 countries in Africa.

She had previously worked for UBS Investment Bank and ABN AMRO in the UK. She was also Head of Consumer Banking for GT Bank Ghana and Head of Prestige Banking for UBA Bank Ghana.

Angela Kyerematen-Jimoh sits on multiple boards which includes the board of the Central Bank of Ghana. She is an alumna of Harvard Business School and a mother to two boys.
