AI for Justice: Receive a €10000 grant in the Next Cohort of the HiiL Justice Accelerator Programme

The HiiL Justice Accelerator is looking for game-changing justice startups and social enterprises in Nigeria, Niger & Burkina Faso to apply for the next cohort of justice entrepreneurs to be admitted into its accelerator program. 

The HiiL Justice Accelerator provides startups with a four-month program that includes €10,000 in non-equity seed funding, business development support (training, coaching, and mentorship), access to a global network, international exposure, and connections for further investment opportunities. The participating startups pitch to an international jury and compete for additional cash prizes of €20,000 (1st place), €10,000 (2nd place), and €5,000 (3rd place) at the Demo Day in 2024. 

We’re looking for startups who have: 

• People-centred solutions that prevent or resolve justice issues in areas like crime, gender-based violence, and land/housing. 
• A fully functional product that has gained some traction, such as a significant number of users or revenue, indicating that there is demand from customers. - A strong team comprising of founder(s). 
• A revenue model. 
• Ambition to scale beyond the immediate target market. 

Examples of solutions we are looking for (Please note this is a non-exhaustive selection of examples) : 

• Platforms preventing GBV, theft and severe crime by providing information, guidance and security hardware 
• Online dispute resolution platforms 
• Building & tenancy management platforms 
• Mobile applications that allow citizens to report crimes directly to the police or community policing bodies. 
• Platforms that provide access to legal information, documents, and services related to land laws, helping to demystify and simplify legal processes for the general public.
