Go Global Africa 2020 is now open for application
Go Global Africa, an initiative of the International Tech Hub Network, is now for open for applications from Kenyan, Nigerian and South African entrepreneurs who are using technology solve problems in their countries.

Following a successful inaugural edition last year, Go Global Africa 2020 was launched at the UK-Africa Investment Summit. Startups in the fintech, agritech, healthtech and clean energy sector across Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa are eligible to apply.

The 15 most-promising startups, as determined by in-country pitch events which will be held on February 25—26 across the three countries, would participate in in-country masterclasses and a 5-day training programme in the United Kingdom. The programme is designed to improve the business skills and capability of the African entrepreneurs, enable them to connect to the UK's tech community and work with experts in the UK to grow their startups.

The successful African startups will be expected to act as Go Global champions and share the skills they have learned with other firms across the continent. This will help spread digital skills, digital capability and increase entrepreneurial spirit, creating jobs and prosperity.

The deadline for application is February 3rd, 2020, 5 PM. Apply now. Shortlisted participants will be notified on February 7.

Through the Go Global Africa project, we are giving entrepreneurs the support they need to grow their business and benefit from UK’s world-leading tech and innovation expertise. This will allow them to continue to develop technology to improve lives around the world. I encourage all those with the talent and ambition to succeed to apply for a place on this exciting project.

Matt Warman, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at DCMS
