Application opens for Startup Wise Accelerator targeting African B2B SaaS companies
Startup Wise is inviting B2B SaaS startups in East and West Africa to join the Wise Guys SaaS acceleration program starting in October 2022.
Wise Guys SaaS Africa is a five-month-long acceleration program offering funding training and mentorship to participating startups. The program is mainly for English-speaking East and West African early-stage B2B SaaS startups with a focus on one of these areas: FinTech, AgriTech, EdTech, CleanTech, HealthTech, and RetailTech.
Startups who get accepted into the Wise Guys program stand a chance to get up to €65,000 investment for 12% equity (€48,000 cash plus €17,000 in program support) with a follow-on possibility of up to €250,000 ($265,000) from regional and international investors.
The accelerator offers online modules that teach the startups Product development, Company building, Fundraising & pitching, and Sales & marketing from local and international experts.
Some of the top SaaS mentors at Wise Guys include Chika Nwobi, CEO of Decagon and L5Lab, and Adia Sowho, CMO at MTN Nigeria. African startups that have participated in the accelerator include T40, Kiotapay, Nigenius, FxKudi, Dukapepe, and Cylon Accounting.
