Andela, a pioneer of early software developer growth in Africa—now a “global network for remote technical talent” has acquired Casana, a Munich-based network of IT talent.
Its second acquisition this year, Andela intends to expand its European footprint through Casana. The company's Enrico Karnstädt, will lead Andela’s German business and expansion into Western Europe.
"Enrico and team built Casana into an incredible presence in Europe, and we look forward to serving clients there with our global network of digital experts. Much like the US, European enterprise clients are looking to quickly grow their teams with quality engineering talent. As we continue our mission to connect brilliance with opportunity, an expanded presence in Europe is a natural step in this journey," says Jeremy Johnson, Andela's co-founder and CEO.
Casana's business model aligns with Andela's approach to assessing the qualifications for accepting members into its global talent network, according to a statement seen by Bendada.com.
Recall that, Andela acquired Qualified, a leading technical skills assessment platform, in March to "expand and accelerate [its] ability to source and expertly assess talent". On its website, Andela says it has 96% placement success rate.
Although company started with matching African tech talent with American companies, it has now expanded its talentbase to over 80 countries across the world. It was in 2021 that Andela disclosed its plan to cover other professionals from Latin and South America, and Eastern Europe.
"By joining forces with Andela, our customers immediately benefit from a larger pool of qualified technologists in Europe and other global regions," says Karnstädt.
